Victorinox 2012 Damascus Limited Edition One-Hand Trekker

Swiss Bianco has been encouraging Victorinox to make a 111mm one-hand opening SAK for a number of years. Our first prototypes were made over 2 years ago, followed by a larger run of laser-cut, hand-ground blades in a number of different patterns, using blanks we got from our friends at Damasteel.

We are very happy to see that our for 2012 Victorinox did choose to make the Damascus Special Edition in 111mm size, with the one-hand opening Damasteel stainless blade, hardened to RC60. The scales are made from Swiss walnut and each piece is numbered and comes in a presentation box.

This 3rd edition follows 2010 Pioneer and 2011 Climber that proved to be very popular with collectors, prompting Victorinox to increase production to 5,000 pieces (from 2,010 and 4,000 pieces for Pioneer and Climber respectively).

The delivery to dealers is expected in late August or early September. Given the popularity of 111mm models, we expect that these will sell out very quickly and will be placing our pre-order within a week from the time this newsletter is out. So, if you want to get one, please place your order as soon as possible.

The pre-order price of this Limited Edition Damascus SAK is $300 or CHF290.
